Put Microsoft Copilot to Work at Your Practice, Without Putting Patient Data at Risk

Microsoft Copilot can draft the referral letter, clear the front-desk inbox, and catch up the staff meeting your team missed, about nine hours back per person every month in the Forrester study Microsoft commissioned. Before you switch it on, ABT reviews your Microsoft 365 tenant so Copilot only ever surfaces what each person is already allowed to see. No cost. No obligation. Just a clear picture of what to tighten first.

What You Can Turn On

Two Kinds of Microsoft AI for Your Practice

One helps the office run. One helps the clinician chart. ABT is the Microsoft partner that can set up both, and the readiness assessment is what makes either one safe to turn on around patient data.

💼
For the office and front desk

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Drafts the referral letter in Word, clears the front-desk inbox in Outlook, and catches your team up on the staff meeting they missed in Teams. The everyday productivity AI for the people who keep the practice running, from the front desk to the back office.

🩺
For the exam room

Microsoft Dragon Copilot

With the patient's consent, it listens to the visit and drafts the clinical note for the clinician to review, along with referral letters and after-visit summaries. The charting comes off the physician's evening. Dragon Copilot is licensed per physician through a Microsoft partner like ABT, so even a small or independent practice can adopt it.

Anyone can sell you a Microsoft license. The reason practices call ABT is the harder part, turning either Copilot on safely inside a tenant that holds patient records. ABT is a Tier 1 Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider, so we can license and set up both, and the free readiness assessment is where it starts.

Assessment Coverage

Six Areas. One Clear Picture of Your Copilot Readiness.

Microsoft Copilot can reach anything a user can already reach. The assessment reviews the six areas that decide whether that is safe at your practice, and hands you a prioritized list of what to tighten first.

🔐

Identity and Access

MFA coverage, Microsoft Entra ID Conditional Access, legacy authentication exposure, admin account hygiene, and guest access. Who can sign in, from where, and with what.

🔑

Permissions and Oversharing

Microsoft Copilot surfaces every file a user can already open. We map where SharePoint sites and documents are over-shared, so the front desk never surfaces a chart it was never meant to see.

🛡

Patient Data Protection

Microsoft Purview data loss prevention, sensitivity labels, and classification. What patient information can leave, and through which doors. The discipline your practice is held to.

💻

Device Compliance

Microsoft Intune enrollment, compliance policies, patch levels, and encryption across the laptops, tablets, and phones that reach patient records.

🔗

External Sharing

SharePoint and OneDrive sharing settings, anonymous links, and Microsoft Teams guest access. Where patient information could leave the practice without anyone noticing.

🤖

AI Governance

Where staff already paste patient details into a consumer ChatGPT or a free AI tab, and how Microsoft Copilot keeps that work inside your tenant instead. Tenant containment with an audit trail you can show.

Assessment Deliverables

What You Get

Every assessment delivers a written report with specific findings, a readiness score, and a step-by-step list your team can act on before Copilot ever touches a patient record.

  • Microsoft Secure Score snapshot with a category breakdown
  • Copilot readiness score across all six areas
  • A map of over-shared files and sites Copilot would surface
  • Where shadow AI is already touching patient information
  • Priority-ranked items to tighten before you switch Copilot on
  • A plan to set up the free Microsoft Copilot trial against the right permissions
  • Comparison to ABT's benchmark from 750+ financial institution tenants

Assessment Timeline

Most assessments complete within two weeks. ABT connects to your tenant through a secure, read-only Azure integration.

  • Schedule assessment call (Day 1)
  • ABT connects to your tenant (Day 2 to 3)
  • Data collection and analysis (Day 3 to 10)
  • Report delivery and review call (Day 10 to 14)

Your Staff Are Already Using AI. The Question Is Whether It Is Touching Patient Data Safely.

Most practices have people drafting notes and letters in a free AI tab on the side. The work gets done. The patient information going into consumer tools is the part nobody is governing yet.

Who This Is For

Built for Healthcare Practices

ABT manages Microsoft 365 for regulated organizations where the cost of a data slip is measured in trust, not just dollars. The readiness assessment is calibrated for practices that hold patient records.

🏥

Medical and Specialty Practices

Multi-provider groups and specialty clinics where clinicians and front-desk staff both touch patient records. Copilot has to respect that line.

🦷

Dental and Multi-Location Groups

Practices running several locations on one Microsoft 365 tenant, where a sharing setting in one office can expose records in another.

🧠

Behavioral Health and Outpatient Clinics

Therapy, counseling, and outpatient practices holding some of the most sensitive records there are. Patient-data discipline is not optional here.

Common Questions

Copilot Readiness Assessment FAQ

The assessment reviews how your Microsoft 365 tenant is set up before you turn on AI: identity and access controls, file and data permissions, patient-data protection policies, device compliance, external sharing exposure, and AI governance. Microsoft Copilot surfaces everything a user can already reach, so the review shows you exactly what to tighten first. Each area is scored and compared against ABT's benchmark from more than 750 financial institution tenants and a growing healthcare practice.
Yes. ABT offers a complimentary readiness assessment to healthcare practices because seeing the gaps is what makes the Copilot conversation real. There is no contract, no commitment, and no obligation. You receive a written report with findings and recommendations whether or not you engage ABT for anything else.
Most assessments complete within two weeks from the first call to report delivery. ABT connects to your tenant through a secure, read-only Azure integration that requires no software installation. The connection takes one business day. Data collection and analysis take about a week. You receive a written report with a review call at the end.
ABT uses a read-only Azure service principal for the assessment. It reads configuration data, policy settings, permission structures, and Secure Score information, and it cannot modify anything in your environment. The service principal is provisioned with your consent and removed once the assessment is complete.
No. Microsoft lets a practice work with more than one Tier 1 Cloud Solution Provider, so you can add ABT for the readiness assessment and the Copilot trial and keep the rest of your Microsoft licensing exactly where it is. Nothing about your current setup has to move for you to see where you stand.
You receive a written report and a review call with an ABT engineer who walks through the findings. If you want to turn on Microsoft Copilot, ABT can set up the free Microsoft trial against the right permissions so your staff only see what they are supposed to see. If you prefer to tighten things yourself first, the report gives your team a prioritized list to work from.
